Terms of Service

Podium is a public leaderboard of people. These terms say what you get when you pay, what you can put here, and what happens when something goes wrong. Plain words on purpose.

Who provides the service

Marcin Frątczak, ul. Warszawska 40/2A, 40-008 Katowice, Poland. Questions, complaints and anything that needs a human: marcin@fratczak.pl.

Podium is run by one person. There is no support team, and answers usually come within a day or two.

The service

Anyone can add an X @handle to the board for free. Signing in with X claims the handle for its owner and unlocks the profile: a bio, projects, links, a blog feed and the latest posts.

Two rankings run side by side. One is paid: the highest balance stands highest. The other is votes, and money cannot touch it.

What you buy

A bid buys a position on a public leaderboard. It is delivered the moment payment clears.

  • The position is relative: someone can outbid you at any time.
  • Every 30 days after your last top-up the balance halves, and the listing moves to where that value stands.
  • Below $1 the listing returns to the free list. Nothing is deleted - only the balance is gone.
  • Extras (dofollow links, project slots, the bio page) are one-off purchases tied to the profile, not to you as a person.

Prices and who you are buying from

Dodo Payments Payments Europe, Ltd. is the merchant of record. Dodo Payments - not us - is the seller on the transaction: it takes the payment, charges and remits any VAT or sales tax due in your country, and issues your receipt. Your bank statement and your receipt will name Dodo Payments.

Prices are in US dollars and are tax inclusive: the number you see is the number charged.

Refunds and withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because the position is delivered immediately, we ask you before paying to agree to that immediate delivery and to confirm that you lose the right of withdrawal. Without that agreement the payment does not go through.

Bids are final. Being outbid, or a balance halving on schedule, is the product working as described - not a fault.

If something is genuinely wrong with a payment, write to marcin@fratczak.pl before opening a dispute or chargeback. It is faster than Dodo Payments's process and it is what we ask of you here.

Bidding on profiles you don't own

You may bid on any listing. The owner sees your handle in the bid history and may ask us to hide the profile. Hidden profiles do not refund bids.

You may not use a bid to attach yourself to someone who has asked you to stop.

Your content

Your bio, projects, links and bio page stay yours. You give us permission to show them on Podium and in link previews, and nothing beyond that.

Public data from X - your name, avatar and follower count - is shown as X provides it. Remove your listing and it goes with it.

What we remove

  • Chat and invite links: Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal and similar.
  • Link shorteners, affiliate and tracking URLs. Query parameters are stripped from links.
  • Adult content, impersonation, hate speech and anything illegal.
  • Listings created to harass a specific person.

Removal for these reasons does not refund a bid. That is the only thing keeping a paid board from becoming a spam board.

Votes and clicks

One vote per signed-in account per listing, up to ten a day, revocable. Accounts younger than 30 days or under 20 followers cannot vote.

Clicks are counted server-side. Bots, link previews and browser prefetches do not count, and one address counts once a day per listing. Buying, trading or automating votes and clicks ends the listing without a refund.

Availability and termination

The service is provided as it is. It may be down; a one-person product sometimes is.

You can delete your listing at any time from your profile. We may remove a listing that breaks these terms, and we will say why.

Liability

We are liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for anything the law does not let us exclude. Beyond that, liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, including consumer rights.

Governing law

Polish law, with the courts having jurisdiction over the provider's seat. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of your own country's law and may sue where you live.

Changes

We may change these terms - new features, new rules, new law. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and a material change is announced on the site before it takes effect.
